While there are plenty of beautiful wedding dresses out there, I have a soft spot for vintage styles. There is just something so romantic and fashionable about vintage wedding dresses that complement any wedding style or taste. I was invited to the 2nd Annual Vintage Glamour Bridal Show by SF Productions, held in the Ackerman Ballroom at UCLA. For brides looking for all out vintage styles or accents, it was a perfect venue to visit.
There was something for everyone — cake vendors, decor and style ideas, photography vendors and fashion booths with beautiful accessories.
The highlight of the event was the fashion show — every dress that came down the runway was better than the last. Cocktail dresses and swimsuits were from Pinup Girl Clothing Company — they were really pretty alternatives to the standard bridesmaid dress and provides a bride with colorful options to incorporate into the wedding party. No honeymoon is complete without a trip to the beach or resort pool, so the vintage-styled bathing suits were amazing. Absolutely loved the sailor-inspired suit!
Viva Dulce Marina featured quite a few evening dresses and cocktail dresses, perfect for a second gown change at the reception or a rehearsal dinner option. For the bride that likes long, romantic gowns, Alfred Angelo offers a gorgeous line of Modern Vintage dresses in a variety of styles. Finally, the last four dresses were from an up-and-coming line, Vintage Minded, and they were my absolute favorite. Delicate, romantic and vintage inspired — the tea length hemline works perfectly for every bride! The center dress was exactly what I’d wear to my wedding if I had to do it again. Overall, it was a fun event and many attendees walked away with some cool prizes and swag!
